75 MIN TOURNAMENT RULES

Team listed first has the 3rd base dugout. 

ONLY TEAM MANAGER/COACH MAY APPROACH DIRECTOR WITH GAME DISPUTES OR CONCERNS. 

GAMES COULD BEGIN UP TO 20 MINUTES EARLY, PLEASE BE PREPARED. 

 

  • Pre-game meeting between team representatives and umpires will take place prior to the start of each game. 
  • Time begins after the pre-game meeting. Time limit could change in case of tournament interruptions. 
  • Teams may bat UNLIMITED players in POOL PLAY ONLY 
  • For BRACKET and CHAMPIONSHIP play, teams may bat up to 11 players
  • The Flex must be placed LAST in the batting order and declared at the plate meeting. 
  • No organized infield practice before games. Teams may warm up beyond the baselines or in foul territory while infield is being prepared. No live batting is permitted at any time. Batting nets are permitted. 
  • All pool play games are 75 minutes, drop dead. SCORE STAY AS IS. DOES NOT REVERT BACK. If the game is tied at the end of regulation, it will be declared a tie. 

POOL PLAY SEEDING RULES: 


  1. Best Record 
  2. Head to Head if (3 or more) teams are tied head to head will not be used 
  3. Runs Allowed 
  4. Run Differential (maximum of 10 runs per game will count) 
  5. Runs Scored 


*If a team is playing an extra pool game (or a 4th game), see the tournament director to draw a # out a hat and that game # will be dropped, win or lose. 

 

  • Majority of events are BRACKET PLAY, which will be 75 minutes, finish the inning. ITB rule in effect, (last batter out on 2nd and NO outs), until a winner is declared. 
  • Championship Game will be 7 innings, run rule, or 90 minutes max. The 10U Championship is 80 minutes max
  • RUN RULES: 12 runs after 3 innings; 10 runs after 4 innings; 8 runs after 5 innings. 10U ONLY: 5 up rule will be in effect EXCEPT if ITB applies. 
  • Courtesy runners for pitchers and catchers will be last batted out OR player off the bench. 
  • Teams may begin a game with 8 players, without penalty. If a team takes an out, you can save a spot for a player to arrive after the start of the game. 


Teams may add 9th player to the line-up. Any additional players will be designed as substitutes. Teams must add any and all players to the end of the line-up. THESE PLAYERS MUST BE LISTED ON THE LINEUP CARD SUBMITTED PRIOR TO THE GAME. 

INJURY RULE:  If a player is removed from the game for any reason other than injury, a substitute player is required to avoid an out. 


Reentry, for any reason, is at the discretion of the TOURNAMENT DIRECTOR ONLY. 


TEMPORARY OUTFIELD BOUNDARIES: 

 

  • Boundaries will be used when needed. 
  • Balls caught in front of the boundary will be ruled as OUTS. 
  • Balls that are down and through the cones will be a GRAND RULE DOUBLE. 
  • Balls hit OVER the boundary will be home runs, determined by UMPIRES ONLY. 
  • Defense MUST play no further than approximately 200 feet from home plate if there are no outfield boundaries. 
  • Catch & Carry Rule will NOT apply when temporary outfield boundaries are used. 
  • Balls ruled fair behind 3rd base that roll past the temporary boundaries play live 



WEATHER: In case of weather shortened tournaments, pool play games can be deemed official after the 2 ½ innings of play (if the home team is winning) or 40 minutes elapsed game time. If games are cancelled due to weather, there may be an adjustment in application of the tie-breaking procedures 

  • Coaches may allow the intentional walk just need to notify the umpire. 
  • THERE IS A FEE OF $100 FOR ANY PROTEST. Manager or Coach must be granted time, request the TD, and pay the fee. Refunded ONLY if upheld. 
  • ALL TEAMS are responsible for checking brackets BEFORE they leave fields. 
  • Jewelry is allowed at the umpire discretion. 
  • BALLS, STRIKES, AND OTHER JUDGEMENT CALLS MAY NOT BE ARGUED.
